Privacy Policy

Effective Date: 21. 06. 2025

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Syncify (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) handles your personal data when you use the app. Syncify is developed and published by an individual developer based in Hungary, and complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Hungarian law.

1. Personal Data We Collect

We do not collect or store any personal data on our servers.

Syncify functions entirely on your device. We do not:

  • Collect analytics or usage tracking

  • Store or transmit your playlists, music preferences, or account information

  • Use cookies or third-party trackers

2. Third-Party Services

 Syncify integrates with:

  • Spotify

  • Apple Music

To function, the App requires you to grant access to your Spotify and Apple Music accounts through their official APIs. All interactions with these services are authorized directly by you using OAuth or official SDKs.

We do not have access to your login credentials and we do not retain any tokens or data beyond your device.

Each service has its own privacy policy:

3. Local Storage

All data handled by Syncify, including playlist metadata and sync history, is stored locally on your device. None of this information is uploaded to external servers.

You are in full control of your data and may delete the app to erase all stored data at any time.

4. Internet Connectivity

Syncify requires internet access to communicate with Spotify and Apple Music servers. While connected, data may pass through their respective APIs, governed by their privacy policies.

5. Children’s Privacy

Syncify is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children.

6. Data Security

Since no personal data is transmitted or stored externally, the risk of data exposure is minimized. However, we recommend:

  • Using strong passwords for your music accounts

  • Not sharing your device with unauthorized users

7. User Rights (GDPR)

As a user based in the EU, you have the right to:

  • Access the data stored on your device

  • Request erasure (by deleting the app)

  • Withdraw permissions granted to the app (via iOS system settings)

  • File a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe your rights have been violated

We do not store or process your data ourselves, so requests regarding Spotify or Apple Music data must be directed to those services.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at https://www.syncify.app/privacy. Continued use of the app after changes are made constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
